Dr. Yong-Wei Hung gained his veterinary degree from National Taiwan University, attended a one-year Intensive Post-graduate Training Program at the Animal Medical Center, New York, did his graduate study at the Ohio State University, and then started his cardiology training at NC State University. Dr. Hung is a board-certified Cardiologist by the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

After his cardiology training, Dr. Hung started the first cardiology specialty practice in Taiwan. He also chartered the Taiwan Academy of Veterinary Internal Medicine, now with more than 700 active members. In 2023, He received FASAVA-Hill’s Practitioner of the Year 2023.
