Mandala Hunter-Ishikawa, currently Senior Veterinary Trainer at Animals Asia, has been creating and administering veterinary welfare training programs in China since 2021. Previously, she has been the Head of Center at Born Free Wildlife Rescue in Ethiopia, the Senior Vet at Animals Asia Vietnam Bear Rescue Center in Vietnam, and the Resident Veterinarian at Animals Asia Chengdu Bear Rescue Center in China. Prior to her international work, she was an Associate Veterinarian in a mixed-animal practice in Idaho, USA. She gained her DVM in 2006 from Colorado State University, as well as her MS in 2002 and BS in 2001.
