Dr. Peters graduated from the University of Illinois in 2005 and worked as head of the department in a private practice emergency service and acupuncturist for rehabilitation services before pursuing advanced training in veterinary neurology. She is board certified since graduation in 2014, holds the ACVIM certification in Neurosurgery, and enjoys a broad range of medical and surgical cases in her time working in multispecialty private practices in New Orleans and South Florida. She is happy returning to the University of Illinois to join old friends on the clinical neurology team as an assistant professor of veterinary clinical neurology.
